If you have a soft spot for flowers, and the Middle East, then the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi is an attraction that certainly should not be lacking on your bucket list. The marble courtyard, which is 83,000 square meters large, is adorned by flowers. But also the interior of the prayer room is a gem with the largest hand knotted kilim in the world made in Iran. The space is so big that it can fit in 7000 people . Above it hangs a chandelier made of Swarovski crystals and Italian blown glass with a diameter of more than 60 meters. The mosque was completed in late 2004 and is named after the first president of the UAE.
