Once upon a time ... so many fairy tales begin like this, but this story is not a fairy tale – in fact, it is a true family history linked to a craft business. In 1895 Mobach Ceramics was established in Utrecht and to this date continues to be the leader in hand turned and handmade pottery. For 120 years the technique hardly changed making Mobach a leader in high quality, originality and creative ceramics.
Mobach is known for amazing pots and vases with exclusive glazes. The design in combination with the very special and unique glazes (gold, matte gold and many other metallic luster glazes) makes Mobach ceramics are highly sought after and unique brand.
Mobach Ceramics organizes 6, 7 and 8 November, the "Open House Days" to introduce visitors to the craftsmanship of the family tradition. Visit the monumental family museum to see some of their vast collection, see the place where all the pottery is made, glazed and fired. Especially for this anniversary there are flower arrangemens made by the artists The Wunderkammer. It’s called "A Story to be Told," in which the beauty of the pottery is even more highlighted in combination with flowers, plants, seeds and berries in a fairytale setting.
